Burçak Şişman, who was seriously injured after falling from a balcony in Istanbul in 2022 and remained in a coma for a long time, claimed after regaining consciousness that her husband pushed her. In the expert report included in the investigation file, it was stated that the wounds on the woman's palms might have occurred from trying to hold on while falling, and it was recorded that after the incident, Şişman suffered facial paralysis, vision loss, and permanent health problems.
In 2022, in the Kağıthane district of Istanbul, the statement of Burçak Şişman, who was seriously injured after falling from a balcony, was added to the investigation file. Şişman, who received long-term intensive care and was in a coma for a period, claimed that her husband pushed her from the balcony after regaining consciousness.
After the incident, the seriously injured woman was taken to the hospital and was able to give a statement following a lengthy treatment process.
"HE DRAGGED ME TO THE WINDOW AND PUSHED ME"
In her statement, Burçak Şişman stated that there was no argument between her and her husband Adem Şişman on the day of the incident, saying, "Adem dragged me to the window and pushed me from my back. I never had any intention of suicide." Şişman also stated that she called her brother before the incident and said "Save me," but she does not remember why she said that at the time.

In the expert report added to the investigation file, it was stated that the wounds on Burçak Şişman's palms may have occurred as a result of her trying to hold onto something during the fall. The report noted that such injuries are more commonly seen in murder-related cases in the literature.
PERMANENT DAMAGE OCCURRED
According to the report from the Forensic Medicine Institute, Burçak Şişman suffered fragmented fractures in her skull and spine, and it was determined that she had a brain hemorrhage. Following the incident, Şişman experienced facial paralysis, and it was reported that she had significant vision loss in her right eye and had difficulty speaking. Investigations revealed no psychiatric records indicating any history of suicidal tendencies for Şişman.
