A woman who filed a complaint at a police station in Artvin, claiming that her mentally disabled daughter had been sexually abused, died after falling ill and being taken to the hospital. The suspect detained in connection with the incident has been arrested.
In Şavşat, a mother who learned that her mentally disabled daughter had been sexually abused fell ill and died.
DAUGHTER TOLD WHAT HAPPENED
According to the information obtained, the incident occurred yesterday evening in the center of Şavşat district. Allegedly, the mentally disabled Y.S. (26) told her mother Nalan Kaya (53) that she had been sexually abused by a person. Upon this, mother Kaya went to the police station and filed a complaint. After the complaint, police teams launched an investigation and, based on the suspect's description, quickly apprehended the suspect T.K. (49) and took him into custody.
AORT RUPTURED, COULD NOT BE SAVED AT HOSPITAL
Meanwhile, it was learned that Nalan Kaya, who was at the police station, experienced a rise in blood pressure and suddenly fell ill. Kaya, who was taken to Şavşat State Hospital by medical teams called to the scene, was determined to have a ruptured aorta. Despite all medical interventions, Kaya could not be saved.
THE MOTHER'S DEATH CAUSED GREAT SORROW
The death of Nalan Kaya, who was known to be the mother of an only child, caused great sorrow in the district. After his procedures at the police station, the suspect T.K. was referred to the courthouse and was arrested by the duty judge and sent to prison.
