After the appointment of a trustee to Esenyurt Municipality, a member of the MHP pointed out two more districts.

Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer was arrested as part of a terrorism investigation. Can Aksoy, the Deputy Governor of Istanbul, was appointed as the trustee in place of Özer. The decision was met with strong reactions from the CHP and DEM Party. MHP Secretary-General İsmet Büyükataman pointed to two more districts on his social media account, stating, "The way for municipalities to be handed over to terrorist organizations must be blocked."

After the arrest of Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer from the CHP and his transfer to prison, Istanbul Deputy Governor Can Aksoy was appointed as the trustee. Following the decision, the CHP made a visit to Esenyurt. One of the strongest reactions to the decision came from Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu. MHP Secretary-General İsmet Büyükataman also made a striking post on his social media account.

Büyükataman targeted the "city consensus" made by the CHP and the DEM Party in the March 31 elections after the arrest of Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer. Ataman pointed to the Mediterranean and Toroslar Municipalities and also brought up the IBB Council.

"IT HAS BEEN REVEALED THAT CHP'S MUNICIPALITIES HAVE BEEN HANDING OVER TO TERRORISTS"

In a post on his social media account, İsmet Büyükataman stated the following:

"Ahmet Özer, the Esenyurt Mayor jointly nominated by the CHP and DEM under the "city consensus" of Özgür Özel, was detained as part of an operation conducted by counter-terrorism teams, within the scope of an investigation into membership in a terrorist organization. According to initial information, many connections of Ahmet Özer with members of the PKK terrorist organization were identified over a 10-year period.

It has been revealed that the CHP has a concrete connection to the terrorist organization and that the alliance established by Özgür Özel under the name of "city consensus" has handed over municipalities to the terrorists in Kandil.

Once again, it has become clear how justified our General Chairman Mr. Devlet Bahçeli's warnings were that the "city consensus" is essentially a "PKK alliance" before the local elections.

HE TARGETED TWO MUNICIPALITIES AND IBB COUNCIL MEMBERS

Thank God, our state is doing what is necessary, and our fight against terrorism continues at full speed. Turkey's firm stance in the fight against terrorism disrupts the games of those who use terrorism as a tool against Turkey. In this context, the Mediterranean and Toroslar Municipalities, which were won through the CHP-DEM partnership under the name of "city consensus," and the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Council members given to the DEM Party as a quota by İmamoğlu should be investigated, and the way for the municipalities to be handed over to the terrorist organization must be closed.
