Following cases of food poisoning from chicken döner, an alert has been raised. Images of some döner shops violating food regulations on social media have drawn reactions. Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı issued stern warnings to businesses. Stating that "Döner sold one day cannot be used the next day; this is prohibited," Yumaklı announced that heavy penalties and business closures would be implemented in case of violations.

The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Yumaklı, made a statement regarding the recent cases of food poisoning, particularly after the consumption of chicken döner. Yumaklı warned producers and sellers sternly, saying, "If döner is put on sale one day and remains until the evening, you cannot use it the next day; this is prohibited."

PENALTIES LEADING TO CLOSURE

Minister Yumaklı stated that serious penalties would be imposed in case of violation of this ban, saying, "When we detect violations, we will impose very heavy fines and carry out closure procedures."

IDENTIFIED WITH SAUCES AND RAW MEAT

Minister Yumaklı noted that some businesses used different methods to cover up the signs of product spoilage: "It has been revealed that cooking with raw meat and using different sauces to eliminate signs of spoilage were among these methods."

It was emphasized that these practices pose serious risks to public health.

HYGIENE INSPECTIONS COMING TO FAIRS AND FESTIVALS

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry is preparing to introduce new hygiene rules for stands opened during fairs, festivals, and promotional days. Yumaklı stated, "We will have warnings to our local governments through our governorships," indicating that field applications will be strictly monitored.

INTERVENTION IN ORGANIC PRODUCT DECEPTION

The ministry will also increase its inspections regarding sales made under the names of local, organic, and ecological products. Yumaklı expressed a clear stance against fraud in this area, stating, "We will intervene in presentations that have no relation to organic production."

In Kocaeli Gulf, 648 people sought hospital treatment after consuming chicken döner; in Adana's Orange Blossom Carnival, images of a famous döner seller attaching raw chicken to cooked chicken were reflected in the public eye. Following these incidents, a fine of 42,076 TL was imposed, and the stand was removed.
