FLED FROM A TRAFFIC STOP IN HIS VEHICLE

The incident occurred on April 1st in Bornova Street, Alsancak district of Konak. According to the information obtained, police teams conducting a traffic inspection noticed that a vehicle had allegedly fled from a traffic stop. After a while, the citizen who got out of his car wanted to continue on foot, but was stopped by the police teams.

TENSION ESCALATED WHEN HE DID NOT SHOW HIS DRIVER'S LICENSE

When the police wanted to conduct an identity and driver's license check, the citizen objected, stating that he was a pedestrian. As the citizen did not show his driver's license, the situation escalated, and the police used force to subdue him. The assaulted citizen reported the situation to the law enforcement teams.

POLICE OFFICERS SUSPENDED

Police teams that arrived at the scene took the assaulted citizen to the police station to take his statement. Following the citizen's complaint, the traffic police involved in the incident were suspended by the İzmir Police Department as part of the initiated administrative investigation.
