Following the U.S. Army's attacks on Yemen, the Houthis announced that they would not allow U.S.-flagged ships to pass through the Red Sea.
The attacks by the U.S. Army on Yemen began following the orders given by U.S. President Donald Trump. It has been reported that so far, 31 people, mostly women and children, have been killed and 101 have been injured in the attacks.
ATTACK AGAINST HOUTHIS
The spokesperson for the armed wing of the Houthis, Yahya Saree, announced that they are carrying out attacks against the U.S. Saree stated that the Houthis targeted the U.S. aircraft carrier Harry S. Truman with missiles and drones. Yahya Saree indicated that they aimed 18 missiles and 1 drone at the Harry S. Truman.
U.S.: WE WILL CONTINUE THE ATTACKS
U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced that the attacks they initiated against the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen will continue. Hegseth stated that the attacks would cease if the Houthis stopped attacking ships and drones.
RED SEA DECISION
Meanwhile, the Houthis announced a new decision they made against the U.S. following the attacks. In a statement from the Houthis, it was expressed that U.S.-flagged ships would not be allowed to pass through the Red Sea.
