Ahmet Hakan brought the details of the Kalın-CHP summit to his column.

President of the National Intelligence Organization, İbrahim Kalın, went to the CHP Headquarters yesterday to give a presentation to CHP officials following the request of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.

While limited information was shared with the public regarding the summit, Hürriyet columnist Ahmet Hakan included details of the summit in his column today.

Hakan began his article by stating that President Erdoğan told MIT officials regarding the meeting, "Go, explain. It would be good."

Hakan wrote, "During the visit of the MIT delegation to the CHP, the CHP Headquarters adhered to all confidentiality rules with the measures it took." He also noted, "The briefing lasted more than two hours. MIT President İbrahim Kalın found the CHP delegation quite prepared regarding the topics discussed in the briefing. This preparation was particularly reflected in the questions of CHP Leader Özgür Özel."

PRESENTATION IN 3 MAIN HEADINGS

Hakan stated in his article that the presentation took place under three main headings, saying, "MIT officials and experts made presentations in three main areas during the briefing: ONE: PKK/YPG terrorist organization. TWO: The current situation in the FETÖ terrorist organization. THREE: The fight against ISIS. İbrahim Kalın intervened during the presentations to highlight some important details."

NINE PEOPLE ATTENDED WITH ÖZEL

The Hürriyet columnist also mentioned, "There were 8 other people in the CHP delegation besides Chairman Özgür Özel. According to the information I obtained, MIT President İbrahim Kalın gently reminded that some information was sensitive and should not be leaked. Özgür Özel responded to this request with great courtesy. I learned that İbrahim Kalın left the MIT briefing at the CHP satisfied. Kalın thought that this meeting went very well. The written statement made by the CHP regarding the MIT briefing also pleased MIT. They found the approach in the statement positive."

WHAT HAPPENED?

It has emerged that MIT President İbrahim Kalın participated in the AK Party's MYK meeting held on Tuesday, October 22, under the chairmanship of AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to give a presentation to AK Party board members regarding the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) following the death of FETÖ leader Fetullah Gülen; CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, CHP Party Spokesperson Deniz Yücel, MYK members, and deputies criticized this situation.

CHP Leader Özel sent a letter to MIT President Kalın, conveying that they expected him to also make a presentation to the CHP. After Kalın accepted the request, the summit took place a few days ago.
