AK Party Ankara Provincial Chairman Özcan to Mansur Yavaş: Why didn't you broadcast the concert tenders live?

AK Party Ankara Provincial Chairman Hakan Han Özcan reminded ABB President Mansur Yavaş that 5,000 tenders were broadcast live and asked why the concert tenders were not broadcast live. Özcan stated that they would not let go of the public's money.

MANSUR YAVAŞ REVEALED THE AMOUNTS PAID FOR CONCERTS

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş made a statement regarding the payments made for the October 29 Republic Day celebrations and concerts. Yavaş announced that a total of 44 million lira was paid for the highly debated Ebru Gündeş concert. Responding to claims that 80 million TL was paid for the Candan Erçetin concert, Yavaş said that a total of 94 million TL was paid to 8 artists. Additionally, Yavaş stated that 78 million 500 thousand TL was paid for the concerts of Gülşen, Murat Boz, and Mor ve Ötesi.

"WHY DID YOU HOLD TENDERS THAT WOULD NOT BE BROADCAST?"

While the echoes of Mansur Yavaş's statements continue, AK Party Ankara Provincial Chairman Hakan Han Özcan asked a striking question. Özcan directed the question to Yavaş, who stated that he had broadcast 5,000 tenders live until now: "You have been caught here. Why didn't you broadcast the tenders for the concerts that cost exorbitant amounts live? Why did you hold tenders that would not be broadcast? You claimed to be transparent; what did you hide from the people of Ankara?"

Stating that the last broadcast was of the Koray Avcı concert tender in 2021, Özcan noted: "Since that date, why haven't you broadcast any concert tenders on the website of the Department of Culture and Social Affairs for 3 years? Don't hide behind ridiculous excuses like 'We informed 6 companies, 5 didn't respond'; don't mock our intelligence. We just started. We will ask more questions, starting from ANKET AŞ, but first, answer our live broadcast question, if you can."
