AK Party member Şamil Tayyar made evaluations regarding what will happen in Turkish politics following the PKK terrorist organization's decision to disband and lay down arms. Tayyar stated that if the process concludes successfully and the PKK is completely dismantled, the likelihood of the DEM Party becoming a new component of the People's Alliance is very high.

During the congress held between May 5-7, the terrorist organization PKK, which made the decision to dissolve, announced this decision to the public with a written statement. The statement reported the decisions to dissolve the organizational structure and to end the armed struggle methods.
ALLEGATIONS IN LIVE BROADCAST
While the development resonated widely in the public, Şamil Tayyar from the AK Party, who made evaluations regarding the process during his participation in the TGRT live broadcast, conveyed the backstage information he gathered from sources close to the AK Party. Tayyar pointed out that if the resolution process is successfully concluded, it is highly likely that the DEM Party will become the fourth component of the People's Alliance, following the AK Party, MHP, and the Great Unity Party.
"POLITICAL PARADIGMS WILL BE COMPLETELY TURNED UPSIDE DOWN"
Highlights from Tayyar's statements are as follows; "A lot changes depending on the success rate of the process. If it is successful, its reflection on politics will be different. If it ends in failure, it will be different. Looking from the positive side, if terrorism ends and the PKK's decision to dissolve is implemented in every aspect, if there is no longer anything called YPG, and if Turkey completely gets rid of this terrorist scourge, political paradigms will be completely turned upside down in such a peaceful scenario in the next 2 years.
"ÖCALAN DETERMINES ITS STAFF AND POLICIES"
Firstly, the DEM Party transforms, becoming a party directly managed by İmralı, not Kandil. Abdullah Öcalan will not be in politics but will be the one who governs the DEM. Öcalan determines its staff and policies. I think a separation will begin with the Turkish left. The harshest criticisms regarding the resolution process came from the Turkish left within DEM. The Turkish left now accepts that there will be problems if they do not oppose DEM and walk together with DEM from this point on.
They are talking about forming a new left front under the leadership of the Turkey Workers' Party, and I see a high probability of this coming to life. DEM separates from the Turkish left and becomes a unique party by breaking free from that shackles, with the strings completely in İmralı's hands.
"THERE MAY BE A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN AK PARTY AND DEM"
This relationship can certainly also grant DEM a new political position. When the resolution process succeeds, it is highly likely that it will become a new component of the People's Alliance. I can sincerely say that, at any stage of the resolution process so far, while certain coordinates related to this process were being determined, I know that no issue regarding a constitutional amendment related to President Erdoğan's term or a decision on elections has been discussed. I can clearly emphasize that this has not come up on the agenda in any way. If this resolution process succeeds and the DEM Party becomes a component of the People's Alliance, undoubtedly, there may be cooperation and political partnership on certain issues. These are situations that may arise in the future.
"GOOD PARTY, VICTORY PARTY, AND NEW PROSPERITY MAY FORM AN ALLIANCE"
These developments completely change the CHP's political projection for the future. Because it had won municipalities with the relationship it established with DEM, and DEM had been one of the main carriers of its dreams regarding the presidential elections. Now that the DEM Party has changed its position, the CHP needs new partners. Because the probability of exceeding 50% without DEM decreases to almost zero, and this situation may force the CHP to seek new alternatives outside of DEM. I believe that regardless of how the resolution process concludes, a nationalist front will form in politics. The Good Party, Victory Party, and perhaps expanding a bit more, could become a nationalist conservative alliance by including the New Prosperity Party as well.
