AK Party Sakarya Deputy Murat Kaya made important statements regarding the forest fire in Sakarya on Haberler.com. Kaya mentioned that it has not rained in the region for a long time and that the likelihood of negligence, rather than sabotage, is high in the fire.

Sakarya, Taraklı, and Geyve are facing a fire, and AK Party Sakarya Deputy Murat Kaya spoke to Melis Yaşar on Haberler.com, stating that the region has not received rain for a long time due to climate change. Kaya emphasized that three people have been detained, but the suspicion leans more towards negligence rather than sabotage. He mentioned that the fire was quickly intervened with all technical means, saying, "Real-time monitoring was conducted with drones, and there was no negligence or delay."

"THE REGION IS NOT RECEIVING RAIN DUE TO CLIMATE CHANGE"

AK Party Sakarya Deputy Murat Kaya, who reported the latest status of the fire in Sakarya, said, "We faced a fire incident on Friday. Our region has not received rain for a long time due to climate change. The area we are talking about is the exact border of Sakarya, Taraklı, and Geyve. Following that, we have our neighboring districts of Bilecik and Gölpazar. Our forest management teams, AFAD teams, and teams from Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality quickly intervened with the participation of our governor when the fire broke out on Friday morning. Since there was no general assembly in the parliament that day, I was also in Sakarya. We were in the area until the fire was brought under control. Of course, not only these friends but also our Mayor of Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality and all our teams from the municipality were mobilized, and I believe we reached a result with the fire." he stated.

AK Party Sakarya Deputy Murat Kaya:

"IT MAY NOT BE SABOTAGE, BUT NEGLIGENCE"

In response to the question, "Is there sabotage in the fires?" Kaya said, "I mean, in the area we observed, our judicial authorities had detained three people. Here, it may not be sabotage, but negligence. There is no situation caused by intent in our region. There would not be such behavior among the people of our region. But as far as we understand, it is the result of a small negligence. Therefore, I sincerely request all our people, all our fellow citizens, and all citizens of the Republic of Turkey, especially during this hottest period of the year, to show a little more sensitivity to this issue. Even the smallest spark can cause damage to thousands of acres of our land. Unfortunately, the vineyards, gardens, fields of our people, and our state's cultivated forests are suffering damage." he said.

"I DO NOT THINK THERE WAS A DELAY OR NEGLIGENCE IN THE FIRE"

Kaya emphasized that Turkey's technical capacity in fighting fires is good, saying, "We accompanied the fire for a day and a half with the Minister. We toured the command center and the fire areas together. We were so pleased with the activities that our President has carried out regarding the defense industry in the last 23 years that if you ask how this is connected, we monitored the fire entirely with a drone named OTAĞ. We tracked areas with temperatures above 100 degrees from our thermal drones. All technical means have been utilized. I do not think there was a delay or negligence in the fire." he stated.
