It was claimed that Ali Babacan, the leader of the DEVA Party, would close his party and return to the AK Party. However, the DEVA Party denied the claim, stating, "The government may need Ali Babacan's return. But Turkey's need lies with the DEVA cadres led by Ali Babacan."
The Editor-in-Chief of Hürriyet, Ahmet Hakan Coşkun, made a claim in his column today that stirred political circles. Coşkun suggested that the leader of the DEVA Party, Ali Babacan, could return to the AK Party by closing his party, similar to how Muharrem İnce returned to the CHP.
DEVA PARTY: THIS IS NOT A PROPHECY, BUT A DESIRE
A quick response came from the DEVA Party regarding the claim. The Deputy Chairman, Party Spokesperson, and Adana Member of Parliament Sadullah Kısacık reacted strongly to Hakan's article in a statement on his social media account.
Kısacık stated that the claim is not a "prophecy" but rather an "expression of a conscious desire," saying, "The government is in a serious deadlock in economic management and politics. It is experiencing a crisis of confidence and cannot write a new success story. Because we know that the government desperately needs the Ali Babacan story."
"BABACAN'S PLACE IS NOT IN THE PAST, BUT IN THE FUTURE"
Kısacık emphasized in his statement that Ali Babacan is focused on the future, not the past, saying, "Mr. Babacan's place is not in the past, but in the future. Turkey's need is not a return to the past; it is a brand new beginning with the vision of DEVA's team." The Party Spokesperson also stressed that DEVA has "no agenda of closing, joining, or returning."
"TURKEY'S NEED IS IN DEVA'S TEAM"
Kısacık concluded his statement by saying, "The government may need Ali Babacan's return, but Turkey's need is in the DEVA team led by Ali Babacan."
BABACAN HAD ALSO CLEARLY DENIED THE ALLIANCE CLAIM
Meanwhile, in a recent live broadcast on Haberler.com, DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan addressed the alliance claims with the AK Party related to a photo where he was seen next to President Erdoğan in the Parliament, stating, "These are such exaggerated rumors. They might be dreaming. They could be seeing fantasies by looking at that photo."
