The alliance claims that came to the agenda between the İYİ Party and the Anahtar Party gave way to mutual statements. İYİ Party Spokesperson Buğra Kavuncu responded to Anahtar Party Chairman Yavuz Ağıralioğlu's remark, "We are not lying at anyone's door for an alliance." Emphasizing that his party had not called on anyone for an alliance, Kavuncu criticized Ağıralioğlu's statement and said, "So there is a problem with comprehension."
The debate over a possible alliance between the İYİ Party and the Anahtar Party gained a new dimension with statements from officials of the two parties. Buğra Kavuncu also joined the discussion that began after İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu's remarks at a meeting with young people.
ALLIANCE CLAIMS GAVE WAY TO MUTUAL STATEMENTS
İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu's assessments on political alliances during his meeting with university students drew a response from the Anahtar Party. Anahtar Party Chairman Yavuz Ağıralioğlu said, "We are not waiting at anyone's door for an alliance, and we are not offering an alliance to anyone." The response to Ağıralioğlu's words came from İYİ Party Spokesperson Buğra Kavuncu. Kavuncu answered journalists' questions after the Presidential Council meeting held at his party's headquarters.
"IT IS AN INDICATION THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM OF COMPREHENSION"
Kavuncu, stating that the entire speech Dervişoğlu made to young people should be evaluated, reacted to Ağıralioğlu's statement. Kavuncu said, "Our Chairman had a conversation with university students that lasted for hours. Making a comment based on this without looking at the entire conversation is an indication that there is a problem of comprehension." Arguing that Dervişoğlu's words were taken out of context, Kavuncu stated that no different conclusion could be reached when the whole speech is considered.
"WE DID NOT MAKE AN ALLIANCE CALL TO ANYONE"
Emphasizing that the İYİ Party did not offer an alliance to the Anahtar Party or any other political party, Kavuncu said Dervişoğlu's statements were misjudged. Kavuncu said, "We never had such a call to anyone. We did not make an alliance call to anyone, but we have always said this as well; Turkey's needs, what Turkey will experience in the coming period, and the needs that will be voiced politically are all far ahead of the parties' own interests."
"WE ARE NOT THE ADDRESSEE OF THIS STATEMENT"
Explaining that Dervişoğlu did not completely close the doors to any political party but also did not issue an unconditional alliance invitation, Kavuncu said, "Therefore, we are not the addressee of this statement." Continuing his criticism of Ağıralioğlu's assessment, Kavuncu said, "So there is a problem in comprehension. If it is done by looking at the whole, then how can that meaning be derived from here? This is also not understandable."
