A 23-year-old mother named Olivia Miller, living in the Michigan region of the United States, was arrested due to the death of her 8-month-old son. Olivia Miller told the police that she left Asher alone for just five minutes while changing laundry, but when she returned, she found his lifeless body in the bathtub. 23-year-old Olivia Miller was arrested on charges of involuntary manslaughter in connection with the death of her eight-month-old son, Asher Johnson. The chief medical examiner's autopsy determined drowning as the official cause of death. Mobile records related to the incident revealed that Miller actively used her phone for 21 minutes. On November 22, 2023, Miller claimed that she put her son in a bathtub and sat down. The bathtub was filled with a few centimeters of running water. At that time, she went to another room where the laundry room was located. When she returned about five minutes later, she saw her son face down in the water; his nose and mouth were submerged. The mother claimed that she tried to revive her son until the first responders arrived. When investigators seized Miller's cell phone, a completely different story emerged. According to investigators, Miller's Dell phone activity showed that she used her phone at various times from 3:17 PM until she called 911 at 3:38 PM. The police stated that there was only an 18-second break during that time. Records revealed that the child's father called the mother twice to say the child was drowning, and within those two minutes, the woman called 911. Miller, who is being held in Kent County Jail, is expected to have her sentence announced at the beginning of November. Her attorney, Frank Stanley, stated in an interview with WZZM that his client is 'emotionally suffering greatly due to her child's death.'
