American YouTuber Floyd Wallace Jr. has been arrested on charges of molesting underage girls in Brazil and arranging transportation to bring them to his hotel for sexual exploitation. Wallace faces up to 34 years in prison due to these allegations.
American YouTuber Floyd Wallace Jr. was arrested for allegedly arranging Uber rides to bring underage girls to his hotel for sexual exploitation.
According to the Daily Mail, the 30-year-old Wallace was filmed shouting and coughing as he was taken to the ground during a police raid. The man, who has a lengthy criminal record in the U.S., faces up to 34 years in prison.
ARREST CAPTURED ON CAMERA
Wallace, who gained fame by filming his confrontations with the police, was also recorded during his arrest. The video footage shows four police officers raiding a hotel room in downtown Sao Paulo, where Wallace is seen being arrested while shouting and coughing after pepper spray was used, and being placed face down on the ground and handcuffed. A female police officer can be heard telling Wallace in English, "You are being arrested for child sexual exploitation by the Rio de Janeiro police."
EXTENSIVE CRIMINAL RECORD
With 142,000 subscribers on YouTube, Wallace has a criminal record for offenses such as resisting arrest, assaulting police officers, and disturbing the peace in more than 13 states in the U.S. More recently, Wallace traveled abroad, describing himself as a "sex tourist" and "passport brother," and live-streamed his experiences.
ACTIVITIES IN BRAZIL AND COLOMBIA
After spending several months in Colombia, Wallace moved to Brazil, where he stayed in hotels in Rio de Janeiro. He was arrested on December 5 after an Uber driver reported a suspicious ride. In that ride, a foreign national using the name Terry William had requested transportation for two underage girls.
Authorities stated that Wallace seriously threatened the safety of the children, while the investigation is still ongoing. Following the arrest, the police also began examining Wallace's digital devices.
