Following the publication of news that e-Nabız is being sold on some websites today, the Ministry of Health made a statement. The statement emphasized that the system has not been sold to any country and cannot be sold or used without permission from the Ministry of Health.
"THE CLAIMS ARE UNTRUE"
In a statement made from the Ministry's social media account, it was stated, "The claims that the e-Nabız Personal Health Record System, developed specifically for our country, has been sold to Qatar are completely untrue. The e-Nabız Personal Health Record System has been designed and developed in line with the goals and objectives of our Ministry and belongs entirely to the Ministry of Health. The current number of active users of e-Nabız has reached 70 million, and it has become a massive information system that securely communicates with more than 30,000 healthcare facilities integrated with 39 different central systems. Behind this success are hundreds of thousands of healthcare workers in thousands of healthcare facilities and our citizens who have quickly adopted the e-Nabız application.
E-NABIZ IS ONE OF THE NATIONAL PROJECTS
The e-Nabız system has not been sold to any country, nor can it be sold without permission from the Ministry of Health, and it cannot be used without the Ministry's consent. e-Nabız and similar national projects have brought our country to a point that is envied worldwide in the field of health informatics. This successful atmosphere in health informatics also contributes to many Turkish companies providing services abroad in the field of health informatics by utilizing the valuable experiences they have gained in Turkey," it was stated.
"PERSONAL HEALTH DATA IS PROTECTED WITH ADMINISTRATIVE AND TECHNICAL MEASURES"
It was emphasized that the sale of citizens' personal health data or its disclosure to third parties is not possible, stating, "The personal health data of our citizens is protected with the highest administrative and technical measures in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 and relevant legislation. e-Nabız has been included in our Ministry's Critical Assets list based on the confidentiality and security needs of the data it contains, developed according to the needs of our country. e-Nabız is a source of pride for the Republic of Turkey, and all rights belong to our Ministry. With its role in the diagnosis and treatment process, it has become a key element of the healthcare system, and we will not allow the loss of trust in this system, which our citizens use to manage their own health, due to false news. We would like to inform the public that we will resort to all legal means against those who produce and disseminate ugly and false so-called news," it was stated.
