In the Tarsus district of Mersin, tube van driver Enver Karaaslan died after suffering a heart attack in his vehicle following a traffic argument with a minibus driver. The moments when bystanders performed CPR were captured on camera.

In the Tarsus district of Mersin, the driver of a gas cylinder truck who argued with a minibus driver in traffic died of a heart attack in his vehicle. The moments when bystanders tried to keep the driver alive with prolonged CPR and the argument preceding the heart attack were captured on camera.

RESCUERS PERFORMED CPR

The incident occurred on Gazipaşa Street in the Gazipaşa neighborhood of the district. According to information, Enver Karaaslan (54), driving the gas cylinder truck with license plate 33 NIK 44, and public transport minibus driver İ.L. argued in traffic. After the argument, Karaaslan returned to his vehicle, drove about 50 meters, and suffered a heart attack. When the truck hit the median, bystanders noticed the situation and rushed to help. The incident was reported to health teams, and those who came to assist performed CPR and artificial respiration for about 10 minutes. Health teams arriving at the scene took Karaaslan, in critical condition, to the hospital by ambulance.

INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED INTO THE INCIDENT

Despite all resuscitation efforts, Karaaslan died. Meanwhile, the images captured the CPR administered to Karaaslan and the earlier argument with the minibus driver.

It was reported that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
