Newspapers piling up in front of a door in Antalya revealed a tragic truth. Concerned neighbors notified the family after 87-year-old İbrahim Ay, who routinely received his newspapers every day, had not picked them up for several days. Upon entering the home with the help of a locksmith and his son, the elderly man's lifeless body was found.

İbrahim Ay, 87, who lived alone in the Kepez district of Antalya, was found dead in his home. The elderly man's death came to light after he had not picked up his newspapers, which he routinely collected every day, from the building entrance for several days.

The incident occurred at around 21:00 in an apartment building on Ziya Gökalp Street, Yeşiltepe Neighborhood, Kepez district. According to the information obtained, neighbors noticed that İbrahim Ay (87), who regularly picked up his newspaper left at the building entrance every day, had not taken them for several days and became suspicious.

SON CALLED WHEN DOOR WAS NOT ANSWERED

The neighbors went to the elderly man's apartment and knocked on the door, but when they received no response, they notified İbrahim Ay's son. Upon the notice, the son came to the address where his father lived and opened the door, finding İbrahim Ay lying motionless inside the apartment.

DEATH FOUND SUSPICIOUS

After the call to the 112 Emergency Call Center, health and police teams were dispatched to the address. Health teams determined that Ay had lost his life during their checks.

After the municipal physician found the death suspicious, teams from the Antalya Police Department's Public Order Branch Directorate Homicide Bureau and Crime Scene Investigation teams were directed to the address. The lifeless body of İbrahim Ay, who was known to have a heart condition, was taken to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue to determine the definitive cause of death following the work of the prosecutor's office and crime scene investigation teams.
