An electric SUV turned into a ball of fire due to a fire while in motion in Diyarbakır. The vehicle, which experienced explosions, was extinguished with a fire blanket.
CAUGHT FIRE WHILE IN MOTION
The incident occurred on Mezopotamya Boulevard in the Talaytepe neighborhood of the central Kayapınar district. The electric SUV, while in motion, began to burn for an undetermined reason. The driver noticed the situation, pulled the vehicle to a safe spot, and notified the 112 Emergency Call Center.
EXPLOSIONS OCCURRED
Upon the notification, fire, medical, and police teams were dispatched to the area. During the fire, occasional explosions occurred in the vehicle, and as a safety measure, the road was closed to traffic in one lane.
VEHICLE TURNED TO ASH
Firefighters intervened in the flames with a fire suppression blanket and brought the fire under control. No injuries occurred in the incident, while the vehicle became completely unusable.
