Recently, Australia, which has been in the news due to shark attacks, is now facing a different issue. In Nanga Bay, 15 sea snakes of different species have washed ashore, and since June, 17 sea turtles have been found dead. Experts are investigating the cause behind these concerning events.

ESPECIALLY FOUND IN ONE REGION
According to a report by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), the increase in sea snake deaths has raised concerns among experts. In a statement from the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA), it was noted that sea snakes are frequently encountered in Nanga Bay, located within the "Shark Bay World Heritage" area in Western Australia, and that these belong to various species.
THE REASON BEHIND IT WILL BE INVESTIGATED
Blanche d'Anastasi, who conducts research on sea snakes, stated that she is concerned about the "unusual numbers" reported to authorities and the research team, and that they will investigate the reason behind this event based on the collected data.
SEA TURTLES WERE ALSO FOUND
On the other hand, it was reported that 17 sea turtles have also been found dead in this region since June, but the causes of death have not yet been determined. It is noted that more than 20 different species of sea snakes live in the northern waters of Australia, and these are classified as "protected species."
