The Diyarbakır Governorship stated that a staff member has been suspended from duty regarding allegations of harassment at the children's homes site. In a statement made by the governorship, it was reported that allegations of harassment against a staff member working at the children's homes site in the city were published in some media outlets, and it was deemed necessary to inform the public about this matter.
"SUSPENDED FROM DUTY, INVESTIGATION INITIATED"
In the statement emphasizing that an administrative action was initiated on the same day after learning of the allegations, it was noted:
"The staff member's workplace has been changed, and contact with the children has been immediately cut off, and the matter has been promptly referred to the judicial authorities. Additionally, in the interest of the integrity of the investigation, the relevant staff member has been suspended from duty as of April 2. The investigation initiated by our governorship has subsequently been transferred to inspectors assigned by the Ministry of Family and Social Services due to the importance of the incident, and the investigation regarding the relevant staff member is being conducted with great sensitivity. The matter is being addressed in all aspects in line with the principle of the best interests of the children, and necessary administrative and judicial actions will be carried out without leaving any room for doubt, depending on the outcome of the investigation."
