The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that an investigation has been launched against Ekrem İmamoğlu regarding the Presidential Candidate Office account "CAOIletisim" on charges of insulting the President and publicly disseminating misleading information to the public.

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has initiated an examination regarding the social media account "CAOIletisim" of the office established for Ekrem İmamoğlu's presidential candidacy.

It was reported that the investigation is being conducted within the framework of charges of "insulting the President" and "publicly spreading misleading information" under Article 217/A of the Turkish Penal Code due to the content of certain posts made on the account.
