Following the investigation launched into large markets, the Competition Authority has now turned its attention to technology companies. An investigation has been initiated against a supplier in the sector and several retail companies on the grounds that they have caused price instability.

The Competition Authority has launched two new investigations into Turkey's famous supermarket chains, including Migros, BİM, Şok, and Carrefour. Immediately following this development, the Competition Authority scrutinized some technology retailers and supplier companies.

AN INVESTIGATION WAS LAUNCHED ON THE GROUNDS OF PREVENTING COMPETITION

In a statement from the Authority, it was announced that the investigation aims to determine whether Article 4 of the Law No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition (which prohibits the direct or indirect prevention, distortion, or restriction of competition in a particular goods or services market) has been violated. This article of the law is also known for being associated with practices that disrupt price stability in the market for products and services.
