Within the scope of the investigation carried out regarding capital market transactions, journalists İsmail Saymaz and Murat Ağırel, who gave statements as suspects on charges of 'disinformation,' were released after judicial control measures requiring them to 'sign in' and imposing a 'ban on leaving the country' were applied. Following the prosecutor's office's objection, a judicial control decision imposing 'house arrest' was issued for Saymaz and Ağırel.
Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding transactions carried out in the capital market, journalists İsmail Saymaz and Murat Ağırel were summoned to testify as suspects on charges of 'disinformation' for allegedly making statements misleading the public. Saymaz and Ağırel came to the courthouse today and testified.
HOUSE ARREST
After their statements were taken, the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office objected to the judicial control decision in the form of 'signing' issued by the on-duty 3rd Criminal Court of Peace regarding Murat Ağırel and İsmail Saymaz. The 4th Criminal Court of Peace, evaluating the objection, decided to impose a judicial control measure in the form of 'house arrest' on both individuals.
