RAINFALL UP TO 100 KILOGRAMS PER SQUARE METER IN ISTANBUL
The Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) announced that in some areas of Istanbul, 70-100 kilograms of precipitation per square meter could fall. According to AKOM, until 17:00, the effect of precipitation will increase across the European Side and around the Bosphorus on the Anatolian Side. After the evening hours, thunderstorms and locally heavy rain are expected throughout the Anatolian Side; it was stated that the wind could reach 50-80 kilometers per hour during these hours.
The Istanbul Governor's Office also announced in the morning hours that precipitation is “expected to be locally heavy” in the east of the Anatolian Side, around Pendik, Tuzla and Şile. Meteorology expert Adil Tek said that the areas around Büyükçekmece, Avcılar, Çatalca and Beykoz are among the regions that will receive intense precipitation.
HOW MANY DAYS WILL THE RAIN LAST?

While dust transport is expected in the Eastern Mediterranean and Southeastern Anatolia, it was stated that muddy rain may be seen locally along with precipitation.
