Turkey has administered some 106.5 million coronavirus vaccine jabs since the country launched an immunization drive in January. More than 53 million people have gotten their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while over 42.7 million are fully vaccinated. The Health Ministry reported 28,168 new coronavirus cases, while 242 more people lost their fight against the disease in the last 24 hours.

Turkish security forces arrested eight suspects in Istanbul for their alleged links to the far-left DHKP-C terrorist group.

Three Daesh/ISIS terror suspects were arrested while trying to illegally enter Turkey from Syria.
