Journalist Hacı Yakışıklı stated that political transfers will not be limited to members of parliament and that the real surprise will occur in local governments, claiming that an unnamed metropolitan municipality will definitely switch to the AK Party, and that for a second metropolitan municipality, intense negotiation traffic is being discussed city-wide, though not at the general headquarters level.
While transfer allegations between parties in Turkish politics gain a new dimension every day, the most striking claim that will shake Ankara's backstage came from journalist Hacı Yakışıklı.
Yakışıklı, who suggests that transitions based on İYİ Party and CHP will not be limited to members of parliament, claimed that metropolitan moves that will change the map on the local governments front are on the horizon.
“YOU WILL DEFINITELY SEE A METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY SWITCH TO THE AK PARTY”
Stating that the biggest surprises in the upcoming period will occur through municipalities, Hacı Yakışıklı shared a striking piece of backstage information. Yakışıklı said, 'There will also be deputy transitions, but the real surprise will be in metropolitan municipalities. Let me not name names; you will definitely see a metropolitan municipality switch to the AK Party. One metropolitan municipality will definitely happen,' indicating that an opposition metropolitan municipality's joining the AK Party ranks is a matter of time.
“A SECOND METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY IS ALSO BEING DISCUSSED WITHIN THE CITY”
Yakışıklı noted that this operation, which has stirred the backstage, may not be limited to a single city, and that an 'additional one' metropolitan municipality is also on the list.
Stating that the meeting traffic regarding the second metropolitan municipality has not yet officially reached the AK Party Headquarters, but is being loudly voiced in the political circles of the relevant city, Yakışıklı said, 'Let me say that another metropolitan municipality has also come to the agenda. It has not been finalized at the headquarters yet, but it is widely discussed within the city. These things start in the city first, then go to the headquarters.'
