The units affiliated with the Armenian army opened fire on the Azerbaijani positions in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The Azerbaijani soldiers also retaliated with fire.

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan announced that units affiliated with the Armenian army opened fire on Azerbaijani positions in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

In a statement issued by the ministry, it was reported that Armenian forces opened fire on positions in the village of Genje in the Ordubat district of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic at around 18:10 local time.

The statement also mentioned that Azerbaijani soldiers retaliated.
