In Maltepe, a motorcycle crashed into the stroller of 2-year-old Arya Özmenek, who was waiting on the road with her grandfather, resulting in the child being seriously injured and later dying in the hospital.
In Maltepe, the motorcycle driven by B.E. (16) collided with a stroller containing 2-year-old Arya Özmenek, who was waiting to cross the street with her grandfather at a traffic light. Arya, who was seriously injured, passed away at the hospital she was taken to. The accident occurred around 7:00 PM on Tugay Yolu Street in Cevizli Neighborhood. According to reports, the motorcycle with license plate 34 MVR 358, driven by B.E., hit the stroller containing 2-year-old Arya Özmenek, who was waiting to cross the street with her grandfather at the traffic light.
AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED REGARDING THE ACCIDENT
In the accident, both the motorcycle driver and Arya Özmenek were injured. Özmenek, who was seriously injured, was taken to Kartal Training and Research Hospital by a passerby. However, despite all the doctors' interventions, she could not be saved. It was learned that the motorcycle driver B.E., who was under treatment, was not in life-threatening condition. Police teams have initiated an investigation into the accident.
