Fuel sales through the National Vehicle Recognition System (UTTS) at fuel stations started today. According to a statement from the Petroleum Products Employers' Union (PÜİS), taxpayers operating fuel stations must complete the necessary registration and application processes by June 2, install vehicle recognition reader devices and communication modules at their stations, and ensure the communication of these devices with the new generation fuel pump payment recording devices to start actual fuel sales through UTTS.
TTB MUST BE INSTALLED BY JUNE 30
Documents not regulated under UTTS for vehicles subject to the mandatory Vehicle Recognition Unit (TTB) will be considered unregulated in terms of tax laws. To prevent tax-related losses for vehicle owners, it is necessary to complete the required application and registration processes for vehicles acquired through leasing or included in the business and used at work by June 2, and to install TTB by June 30.
On the other hand, vehicles not covered by the law but using the vehicle recognition system must have TTB installed by July 1 for fuel tanks of vehicles operating with a type of fuel other than gasoline or diesel by December 31.
PÜİS President İmran Okumuş, whose views were included in the statement, warned dealers about the new regulation regarding external sales, stating, "The regulation that imposes restrictions on external sales and came into effect on January 1 is also of great concern to our citizens. A significant portion of vehicles that previously used bulk fuel are now required to obtain fuel from stations. Otherwise, they will not be able to use the costs of the fuel they purchase as expenses. It is important for my colleagues to inform their customers, who are the end consumers, so that our citizens do not experience any grievances."
