Most major Asian stock markets closed in positive territory on Thursday except for India's Sensex.
The Asia Dow, which includes blue-chip companies in the region, gained 31 points, or 0.96%, to slip to 3,268 on Thursday.
Tokyo's Nikkei 225 gained 190.3 points, or 0.69%, to close at 27,932.
The Hang Seng, the benchmark for blue-chip stocks trading on the Hong Kong stock exchange, performed the best as fueled by strong earnings, rising 406.9 points, or 2.06%, to 20,174.
China's Shanghai Stock Exchange rose by 25.4 points, or 0.80%, to 3,189.
India's Sensex benchmark increased by 51.7 points, or 0.09%, to close at 58,299, while the Singapore index climbed 17.8 points, or 0.55%, to 3,269. -
