Özgür Özel, who was removed from the General Chairmanship by a decision of absolute nullity, denied the claim by Bedri Yalçın, the leader of the Anatolian Unity Party, that 86 MPs and nearly 74 provincial chairs from CHP would join their party. When asked about these allegations, Özel stated, "This news is not true," firmly rejecting the transfer claims.
Anatolian Union Party (ABP) Chairman Bedri Yalçın made statements regarding the deputy transfers being discussed on the political agenda. Arguing that the claims that three deputies from the CHP would join the ABP do not reflect the truth, Yalçın asserted that the number is much higher.
"86 MPs WILL JOIN US"
Stating that they held meetings with Özgür Özel and party officials, Yalçın said they did not experience any issues. Claiming that they are a party that has completed its nationwide organization and is eligible to enter elections, Yalçın argued that no deputy bargaining took place.
Yalçın used the expressions, "They also researched us. We also researched them. 86 of these MPs will join us," while also alleging that approximately 74 provincial chairs would switch to their party.
RESPONSE CAME FROM ÖZGÜR ÖZEL
While the statements by ABP Chairman Bedri Yalçın caused widespread repercussions in political circles, the issue was also asked to Özgür Özel, who was removed from the CHP chairmanship by a decision of absolute nullity.
According to what was reported in a broadcast on journalist Deniz Zeyrek's personal YouTube channel, the claim "86 MPs will join us" was put to Özel. Özgür Özel firmly denied the said allegations, using the expressions, "This news is not true."
