At Istanbul Airport's International Arrivals Hall, three women were stopped on suspicion, and a total of 6 kilograms and 28 grams of gold, divided into 120 pieces, was seized from their genital areas.
During the inspections carried out on April 25 at around 21:30 in the International Arrivals Hall of Istanbul Airport, three women named Özbekistanlı Azıza B., Dılsora A., and Fıruza K. who arrived from Chimkent were stopped on suspicion. The suspects' luggage was searched, but nothing was found. However, an X-ray scan revealed a density in the women's waist area.
KILOGRAMS OF GOLD FOUND IN THEIR GENITALIA
Upon strong suspicion, the suspects were taken to Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital for X-ray imaging under the instruction of the prosecutor's office. The X-rays revealed that there were objects in the women's genitalia. Under the supervision of female police officers, the suspects were taken to a private area where the gold hidden in their genital areas was retrieved. The examination revealed a total of 120 pieces of gold weighing 6 kilograms and 28 grams, in various weights, hidden in their genitalia.
INVESTIGATION INITIATED
The gold was handed over to the teams of the Crime Prevention and Investigation Bureau. The investigation regarding the incident is ongoing.
