The motorcycle rider Mikail Lafatan, 27, who died in an accident in the Tarsus district of Mersin, was sent off on his final journey with drums and zurna, in accordance with the family's tradition, as he was single.

YOUNG MOTORCYCLIST DIED IN ACCIDENT

The accident occurred yesterday in the Demirkapı area of Şehit Ayhan Bozpınar Street in Fatih Neighborhood. The motorcycle, which Mikail Lafatan (27) lost control of, crashed into the median. Lafatan was thrown onto the road from the overturned motorcycle and was injured. Health teams were dispatched to the area upon notification. Lafatan, who was taken to the hospital by ambulance, lost his life in the early morning despite all the doctors' interventions.

After the autopsy, Lafatan's body was received by his relatives and brought to Tarsus South Cemetery. Due to Lafatan's single status, drums and zurna were played in accordance with the family's tradition, similar to a wedding. Lafatan was buried after the prayer was performed.
