The owner of the attacked coal mine, Haji Khairullah Nasir, stated that armed assailants also attacked at least 10 other coal mines in the vicinity and set fire to coal mining machinery. No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, which has been launched for investigation. Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, who received information from officials regarding the incident, expressed that the government is determined to fight "every form of terrorism."
