Due to the 2026 International Asia and Europe Triathlon Championship held in Istanbul, some roads in Beykoz, Üsküdar, Sarıyer, and Beşiktaş have been closed to traffic. Drivers are being directed to alternative routes.
In Istanbul, some roads were closed to traffic due to the 2026 International Asian and European Triathlon Championship.
Within the scope of the triathlon championship to be held today, as of 04:45 until the end of the program, all roads leading to the coastal direction of Ataturk Avenue in Beykoz and Uskudar, as well as Cuma Yolu Avenue and Korfez Avenue, were closed to traffic by the Istanbul Provincial Security Directorate teams.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE WARNING FOR DRIVERS
Kucuksu and Goksu avenues, along with the Kavacik direction of Mehmet Ali Birand and Ataturk avenues, can be used as alternative routes.
Additionally, the transit road from the Maslak-Sariyer side road exits towards Ankara on the southern direction of the TEM Highway, the route from the southern Maslak side road of the TEM Highway towards the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, the entry to the southern TEM from the Levent and Etiler-Baltalimani direction, the Ankara direction of the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, the exits from the southern TEM towards the Anatolian direction, and the traffic flow from Yeni Riva Road and Kavacik to Ataturk Avenue were closed.
As alternatives, Buyukdere Avenue, the Northern Marmara Highway direction, the D-100 southern 15 July Martyrs Bridge and Eurasia Tunnel Ankara direction, and the route from Yeni Riva Road and Kavacik over the bridge to the southern TEM Ankara direction can be used.
SOME ROADS CLOSED IN SARIYER AND BESIKTAS
In Sariyer and Besiktas, the Sariyer and Zincirlikuyu-Levent directions of Buyukdere Avenue and the traffic flow from Cilekli Facilities to the southern TEM will be closed.
Drivers will be directed to Buyukdere and Ugur Mumcu avenues as alternative routes.
