Tomorrow, in all schools across the country, the first lesson will be a "financial literacy" course prepared in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education (MEB) and the Capital Markets Board. With a broad content ranging from budget management to digital fraud, illegal betting and virtual gambling risks, and effective use of resources, the course aims to empower students not only academically but also in terms of life skills.

Within the scope of the Turkey Century Education Model, financial literacy is now considered not just as knowledge but as a fundamental skill that students will use throughout their lives. In this regard, digital content and lesson plans are being developed for students through EBA, and for teachers and administrators through ÖBA.

In line with the studies conducted, in order to raise awareness and consciousness levels regarding financial literacy among all students, the first lesson hour tomorrow in all primary and secondary schools will be jointly conducted as a financial literacy lesson. Lesson plans and materials prepared for primary, middle, and high school levels, regardless of the teacher's subject, have been published through EBA.

AWARENESS AGAINST ILLEGAL BETTING AND GAMBLING

In the lesson, it will be emphasized that the presence of technology and digital platforms in every aspect of life accelerates and simplifies tasks, but at the same time, these platforms create a ground for new fraudulent methods for malicious individuals. Warnings against dangers such as illegal betting and online gambling will be included in the lesson, and students will also be informed about topics such as budget planning and effective use of resources. Lesson plans and content can be accessed from the 'financial literacy' section at https://www.eba.gov.tr/dijital-teknolojiler.
