In the ongoing war with Iran, U.S. President Trump stated, "The United States and Iran have had very good and constructive discussions in the last 2 days about fully and comprehensively resolving our hostilities in the Middle East." In response, Iran stated through the Fars News Agency, "There is neither a direct nor an indirect conversation with the U.S."
While the attacks by the US-Israel on Iran have been ongoing for 24 days, a surprising development occurred. In his latest statement, Trump announced that discussions with Iran had taken place and that the talks went well. Trump continued his remarks by saying, "I have instructed that all military attacks on Iran's power plants and energy infrastructure be postponed for a period of 5 days, depending on the success of the ongoing meetings and discussions at the War Department."
FIRST RESPONSE FROM IRAN TO TRUMP'S WORDS
Iran responded to Trump's words, which were perceived as a signal to end the war. Officials from the Tehran administration, speaking to the Fars news agency, stated, "There is no direct or indirect dialogue with Trump. Trump stepped back when he learned that our targets would include all energy stations in the region."
MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS ALSO DENIED MEETING CLAIMS
The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also announced that there was no meeting, stating that Trump was playing for time.
