Bulgaria is preparing to switch to the Euro starting from January 1, 2026. Therefore, the digital price information boards at currency exchange offices in Edirne have removed the Bulgarian lev. However, even though it is not reflected on the boards, the currency exchange offices continue to carry out buying and selling transactions for the lev.
Due to the complete transition to the Euro in Bulgaria, the price information boards in the currency exchange offices in Edirne have removed the leva.
THEY WILL ONLY USE EURO FROM THE NEW YEAR
In Bulgaria, where both leva and Euro are still used in daily life, only the Euro will be valid starting from January 1, 2026. Therefore, the digital boards in the currency exchange offices in Edirne have stopped displaying the value of the Bulgarian leva against the Turkish lira.
BUYING AND SELLING TRANSACTIONS CONTINUE
However, although it is not reflected on the board, the currency exchange offices continue to carry out buying and selling transactions for leva. As of today, leva is being bought at 24 lira and sold at 25 lira 80 kuruş.
