Aziz Yıldırım, former president and presidential candidate of Fenerbahçe, welcomed the "annulment in the interest of the law" decision in the case of the armed attack on the team bus in 2015. Yıldırım said, "This decision is an extremely critical step for the sake of justice. Shedding light on that dark night is our duty."
Aziz Yıldırım, one of the presidential candidates of Fenerbahçe Club, evaluated the decision for "reversal in favor of the law" regarding the file on the armed attack carried out on the Fenerbahçe Football A Team in Trabzon on April 4, 2015, as "a highly critical and gratifying step."
''A CRITICAL AND GRATIFYING STEP''
Describing the decision as a critical and gratifying step taken for the sake of justice, Yıldırım stated, "We have been carefully and responsibly following the decision of our Ministry of Justice regarding the 'treacherous armed attack' on our team bus on April 4, 2015. On one of the darkest nights in football history, not only our delegation but also millions of our fans, the peace of Turkish sports, and the integrity of our country were targeted. The decision to take a 'reversal in favor of the law' regarding the file at this point is a highly critical and gratifying step taken for the sake of justice."
''IT IS OUR DUTY TO ILLUMINATE THAT DARK NIGHT''
Emphasizing the importance of the yellow-navy blues' search for justice being met at the highest levels of the state, Yıldırım noted:
"This decision is an indication that our righteous rebellion and our years-long pursuit of justice have been reciprocated at the highest levels of our state. We extend our thanks to Mr. President, Mr. Minister of Justice, Deputy Ministers, and everyone who has been following the matter within the state. Fenerbahçe's rightful cause can never be overshadowed. It is our duty to illuminate that dark night."
