Previously recorded footage of Infantry Lieutenant Ege Akar, who was martyred due to methane gas poisoning in the cave, has emerged. The words of Akar, who risked his life for his country at a young age, plunged Turkey into mourning.

In footage recorded during an exercise, Akar answered the question "What is the direction?" with "Red Apple," and when asked, "Is there something you want to say to your family?" he replied, "Don't wait."
A CONDOLENCE TENT SET UP IN FRONT OF HIS HOUSE
Meanwhile, the news of Lieutenant Ege Akar's martyrdom was conveyed to his family in İzmir. A condolence tent was set up by municipal teams in front of the house of his family living in the Aydoğdu neighborhood of Buca district. Turkish flags were hung on the apartment and the site where the family resides.
It was learned that the martyr's father is a retired non-commissioned officer from the Air Force Command, his mother is a retired civil servant from the military, and he has one sibling.
