The leader of the terrorist organization, Abdullah Öcalan, called on the PKK to lay down their arms and disband. In a statement regarding this call, Mustafa Destici, the leader of the BBP and a member of the Cumhur Alliance, said, "The statement is unacceptable not only in terms of its content but also in its nature, and it has also reflected the negative consequences that the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Nation may face in the future."

The leader of the Great Unity Party, one of the partners of the People's Alliance, Mustafa Destici, made striking evaluations regarding the call of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan.
"UNACCEPTABLE"
In his statement, Destici said, "We closely followed the statement made yesterday. The statement is not only unacceptable in terms of its content but also reflects the negative consequences that the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Nation will face in the future."
Here is Destici's statement;
"At this point, we do not trust the leader of the terrorist organization, the members of the terrorist organization, and the political party structure created by the terrorist organization, as well as the global imperialist powers that hold their strings.
Yesterday's statement has also provided important clues about the evils that this process will lead our country to. For us, the leader of the terrorist organization and the political extensions of the terrorist organization will not be 'democracy heroes' as presented today, nor will the members of the terrorist organization be 'war criminals' that need to be forgiven.
"THERE IS NO 'KURDISH ISSUE' IN TURKEY"
It is worth reiterating: There is no 'Kurdish issue' in Turkey. Our citizens of Kurdish origin are an inseparable part of the Republic of Turkey and our noble nation, just like all ethnic elements that make up Turkey and the Turkish Nation, with no difference from one another.
"THEY HAVE STATED THAT THEY WILL NOT LAY DOWN THEIR ARMS"
All citizens of the Republic of Turkey have equal rights and freedoms. Even if the bloody and treacherous PKK terrorist organization, whose head has been crushed by our heroic security forces, complies with the call, the elements of the terrorist organization that continue to exist outside Turkey under different names, which pose the greatest threat to our country, have stated that the call does not include them and that they will not lay down their arms.
"WE WILL NOT CONSENT"
For this and many other reasons; we will not consent in any way to changes in the Constitution that would divide our nation and country along regional, ethnic, and linguistic differences; to the continuation of the activities of terrorist organizations targeting Turkey in Syria; to the denial of past crimes and the amnesty of terrorist criminals.
"NEGOTIATING WITH TERRORISTS IS NOT AN OPTION"
Nothing will change the fact that the terrorist organization is the 'killer of our children', will not bring peace to the spiritual identity of our martyrs, and will not alleviate the pain of the families they left behind. The final word: Yesterday, we witnessed once again that 'Terror cannot be negotiated with, and it must be eradicated through a comprehensive struggle against all its elements.'
