Retirees have started counting down the days to receive the first holiday bonus of the year. However, those who are not retired and have not applied for retirement will not be able to receive the retirement holiday bonus if they do not notify the Social Security Institution (SGK) of their applications today (February 28).
A critical warning has been issued to citizens who have not retired and are preparing to submit their retirement application. Those who do not apply to SGK by the end of February will not receive the first holiday bonus of the year.
APPLICATION DEADLINE IS TODAY
Individuals wishing to benefit from the Ramadan holiday bonus must submit their retirement application by February 28, 2025, at the latest. Due to the salary allocation process, retirement candidates must apply to SGK and initiate the retirement process to benefit from this year's holiday bonus. The deadline for the Kurban Bayramı (Sacrifice Feast) application is expected to be May 31, 2024.
HOW MUCH WILL THE HOLIDAY BONUS BE?
The scenarios for the increase in the holiday bonus for retirees are as follows;
- If a 24% increase is applied, the bonus could be 3,720 lira.
- If a 15.75% inflation rate is taken into account, the bonus could be at the level of 3,472.50 lira.
- If the annual inflation (44.38%) is considered, the bonus could be 4,331.40 lira.
- If a 50% increase is made, the bonus could rise to 4,500 lira.
