Striking details have emerged from the statement of Ömer Şeyhin, the owner of Maydonoz Döner, which was subjected to an operation and appointed a trustee on the grounds of providing financing to FETÖ. Şeyhin, who rose from being a shoeshiner and dishwasher to the owner of a döner chain with 410 branches, claimed in his statement that he learned during the interrogation that both his business partners and the individuals participating in the meetings were members of the organization.

1 MILLION 952 THOUSAND LIRA CONTRACT
According to a report in Sabah, documents were found indicating that the arrested Şeyhin signed a contract worth 1 million 952 thousand lira while hiding in a safe house with a former captain who participated in the coup attempt on July 15. Ömer Şeyhin, who stated that he was born in the Horasan district of Erzurum and completed his primary education there, finished his secondary and high school education through open education, explained that he worked as a shoeshiner for about four years after moving to Istanbul in 1992, and then started working as a dishwasher in a baklava company, where he worked for about 13 years.

In his statement, Şeyhin said, "In 2010, I worked as a store manager at a döner company. Later, I started working as a Regional Manager at a raw meatball company and worked there for 4 years and 6 months. Since I have been knowledgeable about the döner sector since 2010, I decided to establish a business in this sector because I believed I could succeed in the food industry."
"AS FAR AS I KNOW, WE HAVE A TOTAL OF 408 BRANCHES"
In 2018, I started a business under the name SOMCA for Maydonoz Döner. We opened our first branch under the name Maydonoz Döner on NATO Road in Mamak, Ankara. As far as I know, we currently have a total of 408 branches in Turkey and abroad.
"RUMORS AND SLANDERS DO NOT REFLECT THE TRUTH"
Ömer Şeyhin, who stated that he did not recognize many names questioned by MASAK regarding account movements linked to FETÖ members and claimed that he was unaware that all the organization members he partnered with were FETÖ members, said in his statement, "The rumors and slanders about us do not reflect the truth. I believe that all these rumors and slanders are completely orchestrated by our competitors or global rivals."
