Stating that the question weights for the year 2025 were used for 6 subtests in the calculation, ÖSYM declared that there were no errors in the candidates' numbers of correct and incorrect answers. Scores will be recalculated according to the 2026 weights, and the updated result documents will be made available today.
An unexpected development occurred in the results of the Ministry of National Education Academy Entrance Exam (2026-AGS), which has been made compulsory for teacher candidates. The Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) announced that due to a systemic error in the calculations, the scores will be updated and re-announced today.
2025 WEIGHTS USED IN CALCULATION
According to the official statement made by ÖSYM, as a result of a technical mix-up in the calculation process, last year's, i.e., 2025, values were used for the question weights of the six sub-tests. The institution, which quickly took action upon these allegations of an error that directly affected candidates' scores, confirmed the mistake and stated that the scoring would be redone. In the text informing the public, ÖSYM officials emphasized that the grievance would be resolved as soon as possible, stating, "Score calculation procedures will be updated considering the question weights for the 2026 sub-tests, and result announcement documents will be made available for access within the day."
NO ERROR IN CORRECT AND INCORRECT COUNTS
The institution particularly emphasized that there is no technical calculation error in the total number of correct and incorrect answers obtained by candidates over the eighty questions they encountered in the exam. Officials, who stated that only the coefficient formula for converting correct and incorrect answers into scores will be updated, noted that all candidates will be able to access their new result documents within the day via the Result Announcement System screen.
EYES ON NEW APPOINTMENT QUOTAS
The Academy Entrance Exam and Teaching Field Knowledge Test sessions, where teacher candidates sweated it out, were held on July 26th. Last year, the Ministry of National Education recruited a total of ten thousand teacher candidates into the academy and offered thousands of young people the opportunity to join the education army.
