In Fatih, Istanbul, a driver was shot and killed by a person next to him as he entered the street in his car. The police have launched a large-scale investigation to capture the suspect who fled after the attack.
In the late hours in Fatih, a person in the passenger seat of a moving car opened fire on the driver. While the driver of the shot vehicle lost his life, the assailant fled the scene.
The incident occurred around 00:00 in the Yedikule neighborhood of Fatih. According to reports, as the vehicle with the license plate 34 DS 3661 approached Şişmanağa Street, the person in the passenger seat fired a weapon at the driver for an unknown reason.
THE DRIVER LOST HIS LIFE
As the driver collapsed in a pool of blood, the shooter fled the scene and entered an apartment building. After waiting there for a while, the person later exited the building and escaped the scene. Following the incident, local residents reported the situation to the police and medical teams. During the initial intervention by the medical teams at the scene, it was determined that the driver had lost his life.
POLICE ARE IN PURSUIT OF THE FLEEING ASSAILANT
Following the death of the individual, police teams took extensive security measures in the area and began a thorough investigation into the matter. Efforts to capture the fleeing suspect were initiated, and security camera footage from the surrounding area was also examined by the police teams.
The body of the driver who lost his life in the attack was on its way to the Yenibosna Forensic Medicine Institution. While the search for the fleeing individual continued, the vehicle where the attack took place was taken to the parking lot.
