Following a bomb threat against a passenger ship traveling from Greece to Israel, an inspection was initiated on the ship. While one person claimed to have placed an explosive device on the ship’s hull, no explosives were found during the inspection.

A bomb threat was made against the Panama-flagged passenger ship Crown Iris, which will travel from the Greek island of Syros to the Israeli city of Haifa. An unidentified person claimed that an explosive device had been placed on the ship's hull. It was reported that there were 940 passengers and 597 crew members on board.

NO EXPLOSIVE DEVICE FOUND

While coast guard teams searched the ship with the support of an explosives detection dog and a diver, a special coast guard unit was also dispatched to the scene. No explosive device was found in the initial checks. Coast guard experts are expected to conduct a more thorough inspection so that the ship can continue its voyage.

In Europe, bomb threats were made against 6 passenger planes today. Two passenger planes in Poland and Italy each, and one each in Spain and Bulgaria, were taken under examination after successive bomb threats, while no explosive substances were found in the checks carried out.
