White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt announced that the United States will not participate in the G20 Leaders' Summit to be held in South Africa. Leavitt stated that they will not change this decision and expressed that they are disturbed by South African President Ramaphosa's remarks regarding the United States.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated in a press briefing that the United States will not participate in the 20th G20 Leaders' Summit to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa, on November 22-23.

In response to South African President Cyril Ramaphosa's remarks about discussions with the U.S. regarding participation in the summit, Leavitt said, "I am pleased to confirm that there has been no change in our position. The U.S. will not participate in the official discussions at the G20 Leaders' Summit in South Africa."

Leavitt also added that they were disturbed by some of the statements made by Ramaphosa regarding the U.S. and that they communicated this discomfort to him.

U.S. President Donald Trump had announced that he would not attend the G20 Leaders' Summit, citing acts of violence against whites in the country as the reason.
