While the investigation into the death of 21-year-old university student Rojin Kabaiş, whose lifeless body was found by the lake in Van last year, is ongoing, Sedat Peker has also become involved in the case. After Peker's lawyer, Ersan Barkın, announced that he could take on the case, Sedat Peker stated, "I want to clearly say to the Turkish public: Whoever provides information, documents, and evidence that will illuminate the murder of our sister Rojin will be given a gift of 25 million lira from me."

Rojin Kabaiş, a student at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, went missing after leaving the dormitory on September 27, and her lifeless body was found on October 15 at the beach in the Mollakasım neighborhood of the İpekyolu district. While discussions continue about whether the incident was a murder or a suicide, the investigation initiated by the Van Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to uncover the mystery of the case is ongoing. In the case, where efforts are being made to lift the veil of secrecy, the report from the Forensic Medicine Institution's Biological Specialization Department revealed that DNA belonging to two unidentified men was found on the young girl's body.

SURPRISE WITNESS EMERGED

Following the report's release to the press, a statement given to the prosecutor's office by a citizen living in Manisa added a new dimension to the investigation. The surprise witness stated that he thought he saw Rojin on the road while returning to the guesthouse on the evening of September 27, when she went missing. The surprise witness said, "A man held the arm of the girl I thought resembled Rojin. He said, 'Come on, we are going.' The girl asked, 'Does my father know?' I replied, 'Yes.'

FIRST STATEMENT CAME FROM PEKER'S LAWYER

While these events were unfolding in the investigation, Ersan Barkın, the lawyer of Sedat Peker, who lives in Dubai and has an arrest warrant in Turkey for being the "leader of an organized crime group," stated that he would also take on the legal representation of the Rojin Kabaiş case. Barkın said, "Mr. Sedat Peker also stated that he would follow Rojin's case until the end. I believe he will explain this support with a different meaning in the coming days."

SEDAT PEKER: I WILL GIVE 25 MILLION TO ANYONE WHO PROVIDES INFORMATION ABOUT ROJIN KABAİŞ

Speaking to Saygı Öztürk from Sözcü, Sedat Peker stated that he would give 25 million to anyone who provides information, documents, and evidence that would clarify the death of Rojin Kabaiş.

Peker said, "I asked my lawyer Ersan Barkın to reach out to Rojin's father. I told them that we are with the family to clarify the murder of our sister Rojin and that I want to contribute if I can. They kindly agreed. After the second forensic report was released, it became clear beyond doubt that our sister Rojin was raped and murdered by multiple people. Father Nizamettin Bey has been saying from the very beginning that those who know about this incident are unable to speak due to fear of being dismissed from the university or their jobs, or concerns that something might happen to them. Through this interview I have conducted with you, I would like to clearly state to the Turkish public: Whoever provides information, documents, and evidence that will clarify the murder of our sister Rojin will be gifted 25 million lira by me. If students are worried about being expelled from the university, they should not see it as a problem. With this money, they can study at the best universities in the world. If they think they will be dismissed from their workplace (university), they can easily establish a new order with this money. If they think their lives are in danger, I would like to say this to them: The Turkish police and gendarmerie will definitely protect them. However, beyond that, like every honest citizen of this country, I will mobilize all my resources to protect those who provide this information."
