Father Bayav stated, "The day before the incident, they all sat together at home and chatted. In the morning, after a previous argument, they stabbed my son while he was asleep. The person who was arrested is not the one who shot my son. The real person who attacked my son is hidden and in hiding."
In Adana, Derman Arslanhan, the brother of a woman who was caught in an inappropriate situation with her brother or a forbidden lover, stabbed and killed the 23-year-old man in the middle of the street during an argument. After the murder, the brother was arrested, while the father of the deceased Baran Bayav made striking claims.
BROTHER CAUGHT IN AN INAPPROPRIATE SITUATION On November 15, around 09:45, an incident occurred in Seyhan Fevzipaşa Neighborhood, where B.G. (22), whose husband had recently gone to prison, started a relationship with Baran Bayav (23). In the morning, Baran Bayav went to the house where B.G. was staying. After a while, B.G.'s brother Derman Arslanhan (24) came home and caught them in an inappropriate situation, leading to a fight between the parties.
Derman Arslanhan RAN OUT IN JUST UNDERWEAR Baran Bayav ran outside wearing only his underwear. Derman Arslanhan, who chased him, caught him on the street and stabbed him multiple times. The medical team that arrived at the scene after the notification took Baran B. to the hospital, but despite all interventions, he could not be saved and died. The teams from the Homicide Bureau of the Public Security Department caught Derman Arslanhan, who fled after the incident, in a house where he was hiding in Mithatpaşa Neighborhood of Seyhan district.
"I STABBED HIM IN A MOMENT OF RAGE" In his statement at the police station, Derman Arslanhan said, "I came home, and when I saw them together, I asked, 'Who are you?' Baran attacked me with a knife. When he dropped the knife, he started to run away. I took the knife and chased him. When I caught him, I stabbed him in a moment of rage," it was learned.

Bayav stated, "I absolutely do not accept it being referred to as an honor issue. The children had all sat together at home and chatted the day before the incident. Including Derman, there were 4-5 people staying together in the house. After a previous argument among them, they stabbed my son in his sleep. I want the footage mentioned to be examined thoroughly. They are trying to cover their own dishonor with my child by calling it an 'honor issue.' I absolutely do not accept this," he said.
"THEY SET A TRAP FOR MY CHILD" Hüsnü Bayav, stating that his son was not killed by Derman Arslanhan, said, "After the incident, it is said that one person shot and fled. The fleeing person is not the one who shot my son; he was sacrificed for formality. The real person who shot my son is hidden and in hiding. They planned this outside together and set a trap for my child," he said.
