The lifeless bodies of Ada and Mert Altunbaş, who were shot and killed by their father, YouTuber Sergen Altunbaş, were buried side by side in Adana. While tears flowed at the funeral, the mother carried her children's coffin with relatives, saying, "I won't leave them to anyone." Meanwhile, it was learned that the father would be buried in a different cemetery.
Two brothers, killed by their father Sergen Altunbaş, known for his visa consultancy videos shared on YouTube, were laid to rest today.
HE ARGUED WITH HIS WIFE, MURDERED HIS CHILDREN
The incident occurred on Thursday, January 15, in the evening at a villa in the Boynuyoğun neighborhood of the central Sarıçam district. According to reports, a dispute broke out between Sergen Altunbaş (34), who creates visa consultancy videos on YouTube, and his ex-wife Gizem Deniz, with whom he had divorced five years ago but still lived together, for reasons yet unknown. After the argument, Gizem Deniz left the house. Upon her failure to return, Sergen Altunbaş, in a fit of rage, shot his children Ada (8) and Mert (6) with a gun. He then shot himself with the same gun. Following reports of gunfire, numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the area. The medical teams that arrived confirmed that the father and children had lost their lives. After investigations in the area, the bodies of the father and children were taken to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institution for autopsy.

After the autopsy, the bodies of siblings Ada and Mert were taken by their relatives. The siblings' funeral was held at the Karayusuflu cemetery in the central Seyhan district, followed by tears as they were laid to rest. During the funeral, mother Gizem Deniz was seen struggling to stand. Relatives of Ada and Mert Altunbaş cried for a long time at the head of the coffin. Mother Gizem Deniz carried her children's coffin with relatives, saying, 'I won't leave them to anyone.'

On the other hand, it was learned that the funeral of Sergen Altunbaş, who killed his children and took his own life, will be buried at Hadırlı Cemetery following the noon prayer.
